"I Am From...."

A poem I had to write for homework today.
(Due Monday)

 

“I Am From” 

I am from

California

And Nevada summers

Where dogs roam free

From dawn to dusk

Where llamas spit and mow grass

All day

From dawn to dusk

Where cats

Are your mouse traps

And roosters

Are your alarm clocks




I am from 

California

And Nevada winters







Where  sunsets are like 

Rainbows

and Sunrises are dusted

With

Frozen drops of dew

This where I was raised
